Bridge City Center for Youth located in Bridge City, LA is seeking applicants for a SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
, Position # . This position will serve Riverside Alternative High School, but may require travel to other OJJ sites. It will be filled immediately.

This position is needed to provide special education instructional support to the students and teachers/staff at sites in the southern region of the Special School District. The position will also support students in Office of Juvenile Justice centers.

• Provide special education instructional support to students and teachers/staff at sites in the southern region and in Office of Juvenile Justice centers.
• Plan, organize, and provide rigorous, engaging instructional experiences for students by employing a total approach involving teaching of academics, communication, vocational, motor, self-help and social subject matter to improve and assist each student in taking his/her place in society.
• Track student progress, reflect, and make adjustments to ensure student academic growth.

• Special Education certification (as required by Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel, Bulletin 746).
