Position DetailsPosition: RN (Registered Nurse) Manager
Job : 700
Location: Westwood
Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 7:00am-3:00pm
Salary: $95,000-$105,000 per year
Essential Duties- Assist with all hands‑on direct care which includes, but is not limited to: showering, toileting, shaving, brushing teeth, meal‑time assistance
- Provide supervision, consultation, direction and training to the LPNs
- Directly supervise the LPNs and RNs at two or more locations
- Provide preventative health maintenance (blood pressure check, monitoring weight, health and education) and treat any daily health‑care problems (including first aid and emergency problems)
- Provide educational training, counseling and physical assistance when necessary to achieve ISP goals
- Provide regular in‑service training
- Act as an agency‑wide resource person for program staff, individuals, families and care providers regarding health issues and concerns
- Maintain individual records related to medical and health progress, difficulties and changes
- Audit medications agency‑wide
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and MAP regulations
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify the Director or Physician of the patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents
- Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
- Attend meetings, in‑services, significant medical appointments and case conferences as necessary
- Other duties and/or assignments as needed based on the needs of the company
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and one year of experience
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school
- Must be able to pass fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and driving background checks
- Experience working with individuals with /DD
- Valid driver’s license required
- Valid MAP certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
