As a Sushi Prep Cook, you'll develop new culinary skills while you learn from the best and work with only the finest ingredients.
You will be instrumental in helping prepare the delicious rolls—raw, cooked, and veggie—that our customers love.
- Provide incredible customer service by effectively handling a variety of tasks including consistently preparing ingredients to be used by the rest of the sushi team and creating high quality items
- Follow proper recipes, knife skills, and cooking techniques when prepping ingredients and a variety of our sushi menu items to produce a consistent final outcome
- Effectively multitask and balance prep work while ensuring items are prepared in a timely manner at the highest standard of quality
- Engage with customer, educating them on our world‑class sushi products

Work Environment:
The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements including forceful pinching and gripping as well as awkward and forceful postures of the wrist, bending, reaching, frequent lifting, and occasional heavy lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast‑paced environment.
The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures near hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees).
Basic tools and equipment used include common cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment, rice cooker, fryer, mechanical wrapping equipment, packaging supplies.
Associate - Culinary Arts;
Food preparation experience;
Experience working as a Prep Cook / apprentice cook
