In this role, you’ll deepen relationships with your clients by collaborating with peers across banking, lending and investing, helping them with short- and long-term financial goals. The Relationship Manager in the Virtual Channel focuses on understanding customer needs and building deep relationships through consistent communication and preparation, leveraging a comprehensive set of products and digital tools.

Successful RMs in this channel are comfortable using technology and digital tools to manage customers and work with key business partners. They are self-motivated, have a good understanding of business banking solutions such as credit, deposit, cash management and other services, and can independently assess and determine product solutions to help customers. RMs should be agile, adaptable to change, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

The RM will manage a portfolio of 325–350 small business customers, focusing on businesses with revenues from $500k to $5M. They will be responsible for credit relationships up to $1M and for pursuing referrals as they arise in the relationship-building process. The role involves a sales culture with routines to understand and meet customer needs and to generate new loan, deposit, cash management, and other product solutions in collaboration with Citizens underwriting and internal teams.

Initial communication with customers is primarily via telephone, Teams, and email, with potential expansion to chat and video over time.

Eligibility to report to the Citizens office location daily is required; this is not a remote position.
