Job SummaryThe Account Executive will function as a Business Development Representative (BDR) responsible for identifying and advancing opportunities generated through both inbound and outbound channels. The role focuses on converting leads into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) while engaging key decision-makers and communicating the value of energy efficiency solutions. This position requires strong phone-based prospecting skills, CRM proficiency, and high-volume outreach capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct outbound calls to introduce energy efficiency solutions, generate interest, and schedule appointments.
- Handle inbound calls, provide information, address inquiries, and convert interest into appointments.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual outbound call targets.
- Manage and evaluate lead lists, including researching customer information for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of the company’s energy solutions to recommend appropriate offerings (training provided).
- Document call notes, track outcomes, and maintain accurate records in Hub Spot CRM.
- Participate in weekly 1:1 meetings, MS Teams interactions, and email communications.
- Work in a standard office setting with hybrid flexibility.
- Complete tasks according to established daily rhythms and sales activity targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2–4 years of outbound/inbound B2B telesales experience.
- Proven record of sales success with consistent quota achievement.
- Strong phone-based communication and active listening skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and general sales technology.
- Hub Spot CRM experience.
- Experience selling services rather than products.
- Strong verbal and written business communication.
- Ability to understand prospect needs and navigate different buyer types.
- Multitasking, prioritization, and effective time management.
- Coachability with ability to apply constructive feedback.
- Problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork.
- Familiarity with high-volume outbound sales environments.
- Ability to record data accurately in CRM systems.
- Comfort working with MS Teams and email for daily communication.
- Consistent high-level engagement with customers and internal teams.
- More than 5 years of experience (this is an entry-level to early-career role).
