- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, assuming responsibility and accountability for the patient, assisting with nursing care for the patient to include: the assessment, planning, implementation, education, management and evaluation of the patient within the standards of nursing and therapeutic care and operational guidelines, preparation of all departmental paperwork, entering and retrieving patient information from the Hospital Information System (HIS), assisting the patient through all phases of their therapy as needed in an on-going basis.
Qualifications- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science, with a concentration in cardiac rehabilitation.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Job Requirements
- One (1) year of experience.
- Previous employment in a cardiovascular setting.
- ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist or ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist.
