The Director of Recreation will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of this facility.
• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Serve on, participate in and attend various committees of the facility (CQI, Care Plan Meeting, Department Head Meeting).
• Prepare and project annual budget, track expenditures compared to budget on a monthly basis.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
• Must be familiar with documentation requirements for Long Term Care.
• Must possess leadership ability and motivational skills for effective communication and program development with staff and residents.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings/weekends.
• Previous experience with dementia activities preferred.
• Activity Director Certification.
