As an ICU Travel RN, you’ll be entrusted with critical responsibilities that demand clinical excellence, rapid judgment, and collaborative leadership:
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults with comprehensive monitoring, including hemodynamics, ventilator management, arterial lines, and vasoactive infusions.
- Perform timely assessments, interpret complex data, titrate therapies, and adjust care plans in partnership with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader ICU team.
- Lead respiratory management for patients requiring advanced supports, ensure sedation and analgesia are properly managed, and implement delirium prevention and recovery strategies.
- Execute and supervise evidence-based protocols for infection control, nurse-driven weaning protocols, and proactive complications prevention.
- Respond to emergencies with prompt, decisive actions; lead on patient safety rounds, and document meticulously to support continuity of care.
- Mentor less-experienced staff, share best practices, and contribute to a collaborative and educational ICU culture.
