The technician works with fragrance formulas, candles, lotions, shampoos, laboratory instruments, raw materials, and product records.

The position pays $20 to $25 per hour and operates in a shared laboratory with a team of approximately seven to ten people. Daytime schedules commonly run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for project needs. A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related life science is required, along with professional fragrance compounding and applications experience.

Basic analytical chemistry, raw-material testing, instrument calibration, and familiarity with candles or personal-care products strengthen the technical foundation.

Strong organization and communication support accurate records and shared decisions. The work requires careful labeling, database maintenance, inventory control, and clear communication with global colleagues. A collaborative mindset supports additional laboratory duties and cross-training as projects change.
