Due to the promotion of our current SENCO to Headship, the governing board are seeking to appoint a SENCO to join our happy, welcoming Church school where all are encouraged to let their light shine by ‘Living and learning together in the light of God.’ Our small inclusive school has SEND levels above the national and local average.

This is a standalone SENCO role and would be suitable for an experienced SENCO, SEND consultant or as a secondment from another setting.

Ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience of working as a SENCO, ideally with a SEND Qualification
  • Understand the SEND processes/paperwork and funding for Leeds
  • Have a calm and nurturing attitude
  • Be able to share information clearly and have professional communication with class teachers and teaching support staff.
  • Have experience of leading SEND related CPD in school
  • Have experience of working closely with parents and carers
  • Be able to support the Christian ethos of our school
In turn, we can offer:
  • A working environment where values of courage, compassion, friendship and respect are at the heart of what we do
  • A hardworking, caring and passionate staff team who are committed to continual development
  • A supportive parent and governing body
  • The opportunity to work with motivated, enthusiastic learners
  • An induction programme and support for new staff
  • Training and further continued professional development

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
