We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Wetherby to recruit a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant
. This is a full-time role, initially offered through Career Teachers, with a clear pathway to a permanent position after one term for the right candidate.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teaching staff to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC) and associated learning differences.

You will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students
• Help create a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support students'
  social, emotional, and communication development
• Assist with personalised learning plans and classroom activities
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to promote confidence and independence

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Confident working as part of a collaborative team
• Ideally experienced in SEN settings (but this is not essential - the right attitude matters most!)
• Committed to making a long-term difference in students’ lives

• A full-time role with consistent hours (no shift work)
