I am currently looking for an experienced Geo-environmental Engineer to join my client's Remediation & Construction Support division.
The successful candidate will be primarily involved in the supervision of remediation and earthworks projects, acting as a full‑time Resident Engineer where required.
My client is a successful consultancy operation across the North of England and they are looking to strengthen their team due to the business moving in a positive direction.
Responsibilities- Supervision of remediation, earthworks and/or mine stabilisation projects
- In‑situ geotechnical testing (primarily plate load & C tests)
- Geotechnical analysis (bearing capacity, slope stability, working platform design etc.)
- Inspection of gas protection measures, particularly for new residential developments
- Soil cover validation & stockpile sampling
- Collection of surface water samples, including use of field monitoring equipment
- Scheduling & interpretation of geotechnical & chemical laboratory testing
- Report writing & reviewing (Geo‑environmental Appraisals, Remediation Strategies & Verification Reports)
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years relevant experience and could be working towards chartered status. You will also need a geo‑environmental/geo‑technical degree and strong IT skills.
Compensation & BenefitsOn offer is a salary that reflects the importance of the opportunity, a bonus every 6 months—usually 10-15% of salary and the usual benefits package. There is also a formal, structured training programme in place which will help to propel your career forwards.
