We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Boston Spa, offering a competitive salary of £42,000 and a clear pathway for career progression into High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) status.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking to develop their technical expertise and progress into a senior and highly responsible position.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems across the site. You’ll undertake planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and electrical installations, while working closely with the wider engineering and facilities teams.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, providing a consistent working pattern alongside genuine opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance

* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely

* Complete electrical inspections, testing and repairs

* Support electrical installation and improvement projects

* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant electrical standards and site procedures

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

* Work collaboratively with other engineering and facilities teams

* Follow all health & safety and permit-to-work procedures

* Develop your knowledge and experience with high-voltage systems as part of your progression towards HVAP

About You

We’re looking for an electrically qualified engineer with a strong maintenance background and a genuine interest in progressing their career.

You’ll ideally have:

* A recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds

* Previous experience in an electrical engineering or maintenance role

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Good knowledge of electrical systems and safe working practices

* A proactive approach and strong attention to detail

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* A willingness to undertake further training and development towards HVAP authorisation
