We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate RVN to join our night team on a part‑time temporary basis.

Swift Referrals is a purpose‑built, multidisciplinary referral hospital specialising in orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Our state‑of‑the‑art facilities include MRI, CT, advanced imaging, modern theatres, separate dog and cat wards, and a dedicated ECC and OOH centre with a large ICU.

This is a part‑time, 12‑month contract role averaging 29 hours per week, worked across a two‑week rota of 2 days one week and 3 days the following week.

As a Night Nurse, you’ll play a key role in caring for first opinion and referral emergency cases and inpatients. You’ll work closely with emergency clinicians, vets, nurses and ACAs, managing ICU patients and hospitalized referrals while delivering the highest standard of nursing care. You’ll see a wide range of interesting and complex cases, with full support from our experienced team as you settle into the role.

You are an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical capability and a passion for referral‑level nursing. You’ll bring:

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Significant experience in clinical practice with strong medical and surgical nursing skills
• Experience working with complex cases in a referral or advanced‑care environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• A commitment to evidence‑based practice, clinical governance, and continuous improvement

Emergency or out‑of‑hours experience is desirable, and additional qualifications are an advantage.
