Overview
HVAC Designer opportunity in Jacobs' Building Mechanical team within the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.
Responsibilities- Layout and design of HVAC systems
- Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements
- Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water)
- Coordination with other disciplines
You will be accountable for scheduling and the technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Work with a multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team to meet client needs.
Qualifications- At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
- Proficiency in Revit
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment
- Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely
- AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
- Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
The base pay range for this position is $ to $ per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
