Your impact
As a facilities electrical engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our client’s semiconductor-based manufacturing. You and other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity, including assessment of systems, consulting system owners, and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.
As an Electrical Engineering Professional, you will be responsible for interacting with the client, contractors, and site personnel in Wilton, Connecticut. Your job includes designing, developing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD), scope of work (SOW) documents, in addition to design, construction and specifications documents through the programming process with a team. You will oversee engineering and construction for the facility power distributions system work (up to 13.8kV), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety systems, and fire alarm and detection systems.
The work will include retrofits of existing building systems as well as new systems.

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET-accredited university
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use
- Solid knowledge and application of electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards, such as IEEE and ASHRAE
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
- Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of electrical equipment and hardware
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications
- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
Ideally, you’ll also have
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- 5 years of experience as a facility engineer
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls deliverables such as P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.
- Experience with control panel design, including UL508A requirements
- Proficient working knowledge of electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETap, Easy Power)
- Proficient working knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or BIM
360) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Passionate about buildings and construction
Other requirements
- Location: This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Wilton, CT.
- Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours (approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with some flexibility.
Physical requirements
- Position requires field visits and work at an active client site in various stages of construction. Ability to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
