Roleoverview
As a CAD Designer, you will perform design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design standards, practices and techniques using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map 3D while working collaboratively in a global team environment.
Here Is What You Will NeedWe are seeking an innovative CAD Designer to help us grow and deliver electrical transmission, distribution and renewable generation projects in North America.
Responsibilities Will Include- Setup projects in CAD, coordinate data sources and manage user access.
- Provide CAD leadership and production support for project teams, including Project Execution Plan documentation, project kick‑off meetings, file exports and client deliverable coordination.
- Work with a diverse team of designers, engineers, scientists, and GIS professionals to meet client needs as a cohesive unit.
- Partner with global teams to create the best project outcomes by maximizing design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification.
- At least 8 years’ experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or AutoCAD Map 3D.
- Advanced experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Project Wise PLS‑CADD, and ArcGIS a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with civil design projects using data from topographic surveys, DTMs, grading, and utility layouts.
- Proficiency with general office software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams).
- Ability to work independently and with various disciplines to manage multiple tasks and projects, as well as anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.
- Knowledge of the energy industry.
- Understanding of project workflows from concept, detailed design, estimation, bidding, to construction documentation, administration, and support.
- Autodesk Certified Professional.
