At Dutch Point Credit Union, we believe financial challenges don’t define people — how we help them through does. As a Loss Mitigation & Recovery Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting members facing hardship while helping safeguard the credit union’s financial strength.
This full‑time position, based in our Wethersfield Corporate Office, is ideal for someone who’s detail‑driven, empathetic, and ready to grow their expertise in lending, recovery, and member support.

Collaboration That StrengthensYou’ll partner with senior team members and departments like Lending Operations and Collections to resolve cases, develop repayment plans, and maintain our standard of service excellence.
What You’ll Do- Review borrower financials to evaluate hardship situations and eligibility for loss mitigation programs.
- Assist with mortgage modifications, repayment plans, short sales, and forbearance agreements.
- Communicate with members by phone, email, and letter to collect documentation, explain options, and guide them through the process.
- Maintain accurate, organized records of all interactions and case updates.
- Monitor delinquent accounts and elevate risks when needed.
- Stay informed on loss mitigation strategies and compliance standards through ongoing learning and training.
- Experience banking, lending, or financial services is helpful, but a strong drive to learn and help others is even more important.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic, member‑first approach.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
