THE ROLE The Accounts Examiner,under the direct supervision of a lead auditor,will be conducting performance audits and other examinations of external and internal departmental programs, functions, and activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Staffing the Audit and Compliance Unit so that internal audits and advisory services may be provided to the Department. These audits and reviews will be designed to provide a reasonable level of assurance to the Commissioner that the areas audited have adequate internal controls to achieve their objectives, communicate results, and comply with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures Reviewing and auditing activities to provide recommendations intended to mitigate risks that are brought to light during an internal audit or review Offsite audits at branch location(s) and AAA offices may be required Other related duties as required ABOUT US The Connecticut DMV’s mission is to promote and advance public safety, security, and service through the regulation of drivers, their motor vehicles, and vehicle-related businesses.
