• Conduct one‑on‑one, direct observation of patients at risk of self‑injury or suicide.
• Under the supervision of a licensed behavioral health professional, conduct observational rounds on suicide watch and/or in select behavioral health settings.
• Reliably document and communicate observations of patients on suicide watch and/or housed in behavioral health units.
• Perform crisis intervention and de‑escalation as indicated.
• Monitor patients and promote prosocial behavior.
• Participation in unit treatment team planning.
• Documentation of critical incidents and treatment progress in patient’s medical record at the discretion of supervisor.
• Participation in unit morning report and regular unit staff meetings.
• May facilitate community meetings.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively interact with institutional and clinical staff.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement.
• A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
