Overview
Join us as a Senior Team Administrator and play a vital role in supporting education services that make a real difference to children and families. This full‑time permanent role is based in Dakota, 11 De Havilland Drive, Weybridge KT13 0YP, and offers hybrid working. You will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week on a rota basis, with core hours of 09:00‑17:00 to ensure full cover for operational teams and front‑line call lines.
RoleSummary
The position is part of our dynamic Business Support Team within the Children, Families & Lifelong Learning directorate. It provides a varied and rewarding experience where you support education services and ensure smooth, efficient processes for frontline teams.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with education professionals and partner agencies to deliver timely and accurate support.
- Manage complex workflows, ensuring priorities are met and processes run seamlessly.
- Guide and support junior colleagues, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Process referrals and distribute reports.
- Liaise with professionals across Education and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Respond to telephone enquiries and provide clear, professional communication.
- Take and distribute meeting notes promptly to all relevant parties.
- Monitor timescales and provide performance information to support service delivery.
Essential:
- Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check for regulated activity.
- Highly organised, proactive, and confident setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Skilled at using initiative and identifying opportunities for streamlining and process improvement.
- Comfortable taking ownership of specific areas and ensuring all aspects of workflow are completed to a high standard.

- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) Surrey County Council is undergoing a move to two new unitary councils in April 2027. The starting salary is £30,647 per annum based on a 36‑hour working week.
