The role :You willbe representing Mercedes-Benz World onsite, role of Event Coordinator will bebased in the office Monday – Friday (approx. 80% of our events happen
Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm) however we would need there to be flexibility to work evenings and weekends on an ad hoc basis and in line with the eventscalendar as needed.
The role will involve dailycommunication with clients and internal team members over email, over the phoneand in person on site visits and live event days where you are expected todeliver an excellent level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities :- Oversee all aspects of event planning based on your allocated events, including internal and external events.
- To manage effective and efficient relationships with all internal and external parties in support of delivering the right experience to customers and clients to Mercedes-Benz World.
- Chairing Operational meetings to ensure all departments have the correct information to deliver each event.
- Up-selling to the client to achieve maximum revenue.
- Maintaining a working relationship with preferred supplier list.
- Demonstrating to clients strong knowledge of venue and vendor offerings and taking clients on tours of venue possibilities.
- Coordinating event entertainment, AV, decoration and any other ad-hoc requirements the client is looking for.
- Issuing invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner (as per agreed time frames).
- Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organising vendors.
- Creating sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events, including possessing a strong working knowledge of the company to further these sales opportunities.
- Available to support the client on live event days.
- Planning multiple events at once.
- Support the Sales & Events Manager where required.
- High attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
- Excellent organisational skills, with flexibility to adapt to changes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
- Commercial acumen and business awareness.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- An aptitude for conducting targeted research to develop new sales leads.
- Organisation and time management, keeping to deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Maximising sales.
- Team player.
- Data entry – online events system.
- Experience with chefs, kitchen and food would be preferred.
- Previous experience of an event environment is essential for this role.

The salary will be depending on skills and experience. Based on a Maternity Cover 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
