Up to £39,714.22 FTE, pro rata depending on skills and experience alongside an attractive benefits package and generous holiday entitlement.
Hours:
22.2 hours per week (3 days) This role is part time and based at a campus location within Surrey with good transport links from surrounding areas. Easily accessible from Woking, Ashford, Weybridge, Guildford, Walton-on-Thames, Esher, Epsom, Staines-upon-Thames and the wider Surrey area. You'll be joining a successful and well-respected FE education provider in Surrey as a Health and Social Care specialist, becoming part of a dedicated and friendly teaching team.
What you'll be doing Planning and teaching engaging lessons, schemes of learning and assessments that reflect current practice in health and social care Assessing learners' work and carrying out internal verification to awarding body standards Acting as a personal tutor, giving pastoral support, tracking progress and attendance Helping to develop the curriculum Supporting learner recruitment through interviews, open days, taster days and parents' evenings Organising trips, visits and work experience, and going with learners when needed What you'll bring A relevant degree or professional qualification in health, or significant experience in the health and social care sector
Experience of teaching, assessing or coaching, ideally on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes GCSE English and maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent A Level 5 teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one (funded support is available) Good knowledge of current trends in health and social care, plus a strong commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding Clinical or nursing experience, or a TAQA/assessor or IQA qualification, would be a real plus You'll have: A relevant degree or professional qualification in health or a related subject, and/or considerable experience in the health and social care industry A Level 5 teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one A TAQA, assessor or IQA qualification (desirable) Excellent communication and organisation skills, with good time management A caring, supportive approach that puts learners first Confident IT skills and a real team player attitude What's in it for you Up to £39,714.22 FTE (pro rata), depending on skills and experience Generous holiday entitlement Teachers' Pension Scheme or Local Government Pension Scheme Funded teaching qualification and ongoing professional development Free on-site parking, staff recognition schemes, plus financial benefits and discounts A supportive team where you'll see the impact your work has on students' futures If you're ready to use your health and social care experience to help shape tomorrow's professionals, apply today.
