Blackburn - Hybrid Reporting to CFO An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially focused Financial Reporting Manager to join a private equity-backed business. The business is part of a larger, well established group and is entering a significant phase of expansion and operational scaling.

This is a high-impact role working closely with the CFO, offering genuine exposure to strategic decision-making within a dynamic, acquisitive environment.

The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Production of monthly management accounts and performance reporting Cashflow management and forecasting Group budgeting and ongoing reforecasting Financial modelling and appraisal support Preparation of statutory accounts and VAT returns Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations Supporting audit preparation and enhancing financial processes Leading and developing a small, high-performing finance team Translating financial performance into clear insight for operational leaders Youl will need to be:
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Strong technical grounding with commercial awareness Comfortable improving processes in a scaling business A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys building capability within a team Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders Our local Lancashire Axon Moore team recruit all accounting and finance roles from CFO to transactional finance on both a temporary and permanent basis.
