We are partnering with a leading international development organisation delivering impactful programmes across health, education, climate resilience and economic empowerment to recruit an experienced Programme Finance Accountant . This role will be responsible for the financial management of a new major multi-year donor-funded project. The contract is for three years initially with a start date.

The Role You will ensure the accuracy, compliance and integrity of project finances, overseeing donor reporting, budgeting, financial controls and cashflow management. Working closely with programme teams and international partners, you will support robust financial oversight and contribute to effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate project financial records and prepare timely donor and internal reports. Monitor budgets, track expenditure and support forecasting and re-budgeting. Ensure compliance with donor rules, internal policies and statutory requirements. Prepare for audits, manage financial trackers and strengthen internal controls. Support grant management, cashflow monitoring and cost recovery processes. Provide financial training and guidance to project staff and local partners.

About You ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA finalist or qualified (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years' project accounting experience, ideally in international development. Strong understanding of donor compliance (e.g., USAID, FCDO, EU, UN, World Bank). Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills. Confident working independently in a fast-paced, international environment. Benefits Flexible hybrid working (1 day per week in central London).
