Overview

This role is responsible for workforce planning, scheduling and logistics for specialised Marine Operations crew. Working closely with operational leaders, you will help ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time, while supporting fleet requirements and workforce planning processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage crew scheduling, assignment planning and rotation schedules for Marine Operations
  • Support workforce planning activities, including par level planning and resource forecasting
  • Develop and implement efficient scheduling solutions that meet fleet and operational needs
  • Work closely with Marine Operations, department leaders, team members and crew to support scheduling, logistics, recruitment and succession planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, SQM requirements, and relevant flag state and port state regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems, including workforce and succession planning data
  • Support reporting, planning initiatives and continuous process improvements
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in workforce scheduling, workforce planning, recruitment, crew administration, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience using HR, workforce planning or scheduling systems is preferred
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise activities and manage resources effectively
  • Able to analyse information, identify issues and develop practical solutions using logic, judgement and data
  • Confident solving both straightforward and complex workforce planning challenges
  • Quick to learn new systems, processes and technologies and apply them to improve planning outcomes
  • Comfortable interpreting data and presenting clear recommendations or process improvements
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with management, colleagues and shipboard employees
  • Understanding of shipboard operations and cruise ship organisational structures
  • Knowledge of seafarer immigration, visa and travel requirements across different regions
  • Familiarity with flag state and port state regulations relating to training, licences and certification requirements for seafarers

This role is based in our Weybridge office and requires working onsite. The position involves a standard office environment, with occasional travel to shipboard or offsite locations where higher noise levels may be encountered.
