Head of R&D Product Delivery and Deployment

Role Responsibilities

• Strategic Stakeholder Influence and Governance
  Actively engage with senior leaders, including executive team members, to drive strategic orchestration of digital delivery for R&D and innovation. Represent R&D Tech in senior governance bodies and ensure high‑quality reporting, decision support, and escalation management across the portfolio.
• Strategic Digital R&D Delivery Leadership
  Translate R&D and digital strategies into integrated, actionable delivery plans with clear outcomes, dependencies, and value measures. Lead end‑to‑end delivery orchestration across product lines, maintaining a refreshed and continuous optimization of the R&D Tech delivery roadmap.
• Innovation and R&D Acumen
  Partner with Global R&D, QSC, and marketing leaders to transform end‑to‑end innovation business processes. Ensure industry best practices are applied and balance trade‑offs between cost, quality, and pace in technology, vendor, and delivery choices.
• Matrix Team Leadership and Contract Ecosystem Management
  Lead a cross‑functional innovation ecosystem, providing strong leadership, guidance, and decision ownership over a multi‑partner vendor and contract ecosystem. Manage matrixed resourcing and vendor negotiations.
• Operational Enablement
  Incorporate data literacy, change management principles, and training to successfully transition new capabilities into Level 2 support with clear ownership and SLAs.

• Deep domain expertise in delivering innovation and R&D programs in a validated environment, including broad knowledge of R&D application landscape such as Veeva Vault and PPM platforms.
• Broad knowledge of Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, and Research Lab processes within consumer health and life sciences.
• Skilled in integration technologies, APIs, middleware, master data, and enterprise data flows.
• Strong grounding in GxP, CSV, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Data and AI literacy, fluency, and ability to oversee data and AI products and traditional SaaS systems.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale COTS implementations and multi‑system transformation programs.
• Experience managing global, cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Strong decision maker with prioritization and risk‑management capabilities.

• Analytical & strategic thinking with ability to convert complex business needs into scalable technology designs.
• Problem‑solving focused on simplification, usability, and value.
• Innovative mindset with willingness to challenge the status‑quo.
• Excellent communicator and storyteller for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Effective relationship‑builder across R&D, Regulatory, Safety, and Digital & Tech teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable with a range of technology platforms, suppliers, and integration within business.
