Hydraulic Technician

Hydraulic Technician Pay: £42K £47K per annum Hrs:
Mon-Thu: 7:30am-4pm, Fri: 7:30am-2pm Driver Hire Aberdeen are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Hydraulic Technician to join their Assets & Operations team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will play a key role in the build, maintenance, testing, commissioning and operational readiness of hydraulic and mechanical systems across specialist offshore and onshore equipment. The role is primarily workshop-based and focused on hydraulic power units (HPUs), pipework, hose assemblies, valves, cylinders and associated hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities Build and install hydraulic systems including HPUs, manifolds, pipework and hose assemblies Carry out hydraulic maintenance, inspection and refurbishment work Perform flushing, pressure testing, commissioning and FAT/SIT activities Diagnose hydraulic faults including leaks, pressure loss and system inefficiencies Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings Support mobilisation, demobilisation and equipment readiness activities Complete testing records, checklists and workshop documentation accurately Work safely and effectively within HSEQ standards at all times Requirements Modern Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Engineering Hydraulic Training Level 2 (BFPA or equivalent) Proven hydraulic systems experience including HPUs, pipework and hose assemblies Ability to read hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings Strong hands-on approach and fault-finding capability
