Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This role requires staying calm under pressure, leading with professionalism, and delivering great service while protecting our stores, people, and products.

• Operate in a fast‑paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive, and ready to step in when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, creating a welcoming store environment, and supporting both customers and colleagues.
• Help keep the store safe and secure: prevent loss, respond to incidents, identify risks, and support safe ways of working.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Remain calm and professional during challenging situations and emergency procedures.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations, and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations, demonstrating flexibility in a fast‑moving retail setting.

• Previous security experience preferred.
• Valid SIA licence desirable, but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, confident, and professional approach.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• Passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

All candidates must be able to provide a 5‑year checkable work history within the UK.
