Job Overview

HG Recruitment are recruiting HGV 2 Drivers to work with our client based in Weighbridge on a long‑term/temp‑to‑perm basis. We have both AM and PM shifts available, working any 5 out of 7 (including weekends).

You will be required to carry out multi‑drop deliveries of palletised goods, with a maximum of 8 drops per day. You will be loading and unloading your vehicle using a tail lift, ensuring deliveries are carried out safely on a day‑to‑day basis.

Pre‑Parity rates 1‑12 weeks

• AM 0600‑1759: £15.11 PAYE, £16.93 holiday inclusive – approx. £931.15 weekly (based on 55 hours)
• PM 1800‑0559: £17.37 PAYE, £19.46 holiday inclusive – approx. £1070.30 weekly (based on 55 hours)

Post Parity 13+ weeks

• Overtime rates £22.67‑£48.67 depending on day and hours worked.

• Consistent regular ongoing work and job security

• Multi‑drop delivery up to 8 drops per day, depot to depot
• Loading and unloading vehicle

• HGV 2 licence – new pass welcome
• HGV 2 licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards
• A good understanding of driver hours, regulations, and the Working Time Directive
• Excellent geographical knowledge
• Customer‑focused attitude
