Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational degree program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)
- Holds one of the following certifications:
Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or the Physician Assistant
- Certified (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification requirements).
- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant (Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) for applicants outside of Saskatchewan)
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants

- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- May provide services to acute and long term care sites as required
