The part‑time Virtual MRI Technologist role works Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 am–6:00 pm.
Your MissionThe Virtual MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment remotely to assist with imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, high‑quality imaging results, and compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities include virtual imaging consultations, patient data management, and maintaining a professional, compassionate approach.
Role- Remote MRI Scanning & Imaging – guide MRI scans using telemedicine technology, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Remote Patient Access – maintain visual contact with the patient and communicate with onsite staff via chat or phone.
- Safety & Protocol Assessment – review onsite screening, identify safety issues, and select appropriate MRI protocols.
- Equipment Operation – collaborate with onsite technologists to operate MRI equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Documentation & Reporting – accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and results; maintain detailed records.
- Quality Assurance – monitor imaging quality to meet diagnostic standards.
- Continuing Education & Training – stay current with MRI technology, telemedicine practices, and Massachusetts healthcare regulations.
- Patient Data Management – ensure HIPAA compliance and proper handling of electronic medical records.
- Active ARRT license.
- At least 3 years of independent MRI technologist experience.
- Completion of an accredited MRI certification program or related field.
- Strong understanding of MRI protocols, physics, and imaging software.
- Familiarity with remote telemedicine platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency – comfortable with EMR systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to evolving technology.
Pay range: $40‑$60 per hour plus benefits. Individual compensation is based on skills and experience.
