The Opportunity
Convenient
MD is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a vital clinical team member, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working alongside medical providers, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative environment. Your Impact
- Patient Care & Triage:
Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs. - Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
- Clinical Procedures:
Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more. - Patient Engagement & Documentation:
Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. - Clinic Operations:
Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies. - Collaboration with Clinical Team:
Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
Required Availability
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three other Convenient
MD locations within a one hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
Who You Are
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Certification and demonstrated prior experience:
State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. - Compassionate, authentic, and patient-focused:
Supports patients through kindness; demonstrating understanding for others and contributing to the creating a community of belonging.
Bonus Qualifications
- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
