Tele Dermatology Administrator

Booking patients into clinics, cancelling and re‑arranging clinics. Responding to queries from patients, carers, clinical staff and managers relating to appointments, treatments and meetings via face‑to‑face, written or telephone communication. Send off secondary care urgent referrals.

You will require the ability to multi‑task and work flexibly to manage the workload in accordance with agreed quality standards, and demonstrate a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook and Word.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Following a review of our pre‑employment checking process, with immediate effect the Trust has made the decision to no longer accept DBS checking and clearance through the DBS Update Service.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role are to ensure all referrals are linked accordingly, action clinics by sending off 2WW referrals, add patients to waiting lists as required, respond to emails, telephone calls, rebook or cancel clinics as needed. Record CDC data on a weekly basis for the tele derm co‑ordinator. Liaise with GP practices, patients and clinicians as required to do so.

  • RSA Standard II Word Processing or equivalent
  • Ability to identify priority and to meet tight deadline
