, is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their committed department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking to begin their career in a supportive, ambitious, and collaborative environment.
In this position, you will:
- Teach engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4 (specialism welcomed but not essential)
- Deliver a curriculum that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world
- Use assessment effectively to track progress and support students of all abilities
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to question, explore, and debate
- Work closely with colleagues to continue developing a rich and inspiring Humanities curriculum
- Take part in wider school life, including whole‑school initiatives and extracurricular activities
- A welcoming, student‑centred school community
- A supportive Humanities department with strong leadership

The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified Humanities Teacher with QTS (or an ECT nearing course completion)
- Confident teaching KS3 & KS4 within the Humanities disciplines
- Someone with strong subject knowledge and a passion for their specialist area
- A teacher who sets high expectations and delivers engaging, thoughtful lessons
- A reflective practitioner who enjoys working collaboratively
- Able to build positive, encouraging relationships with students of all abilities
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities subjects
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
