Teaching Assistant – Weymouth
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils inside and outside the classroom, working closely with teachers and support staff to create engaging learning experiences and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and thrive.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups
- Assisting children with additional learning and SEND needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
- Working alongside teachers to deliver inclusive and stimulating lessons
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where appropriate
- Helping to create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting
- Patient, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable and able to respond to the needs of individual pupils
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £14.25 – £15.10 per hour
