Pay: XS2.4a Dorset Grade 2 + 2
LMI – £6,514 + 2
LMI pro‑rated per annum (pay award pending)
Hours:
11.25 hours per week – Monday to Friday (11.40am to 1.55pm)
Employment:
Permanent – Term Time Only
The successful candidate will supervise and support children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities during the lunch period, both in the hall and on the playground.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Supervise children and young people during lunch.
- Provide support and facilitate a safe and inclusive environment.
- Use therapeutic approaches to understand and support behaviour.
- Communicate effectively with children, young people, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate creativity and use a range of skills to meet diverse needs.
- Contribute positively to the school’s ethos and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Passion for helping young people develop confidence, independence, and self‑esteem.
- Experience and/or training to support children of all ages with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Excellent communication and relational skills.
Pro‑rated salary includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
Salary is paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving mid-year to ensure correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
This role is UK based; right to work must be established.
