About the role
Salary: £27,259 per annum FTE (prorated to part‑time hours).
Contractual hours: 37. Basis:
Full‑time and part‑time hours available / Term time only.
Coastland College is looking for a Personal Development Tutor (PDT) to join our team across both the Weymouth and Kingston Maurward sites. This role is rewarding for someone passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver impactful tutorial sessions that support students’ personal development and college engagement.
- Conduct regular 1:1 progress reviews, offering challenge, motivation, and wellbeing support.
- Assist students with employability skills including CV writing, job applications, and interview prep.
- Promote high standards of attendance, behaviour, and engagement.
- Identify wellbeing concerns and refer students to internal support services as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve and evolve tutorial resources and delivery.
- Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding and Prevent knowledge and embed it into sessions.
