Senior Night Care Assistant – Bosworth Care Home, Weymouth

Base pay: £13.25 per hour

Hours:

42 hours per week, working from 8pm to 8am on a two‑weekly rolling rota, including alternative weekends.

The Role

A day in the life of a Senior Night Care Assistant

  • Person‑centred care – ensure residents receive personal care, including bathing, dressing and oral care, respecting preferences and promoting choice and independence.
  • Review – contribute to and carry out care reviews with residents to ensure plans reflect their needs.
  • Medication – administer residents’ medication safely, supportively and in compliance with guidelines.
  • Social activity – lead and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
  • Leadership – support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may lead the home when senior managers are not available.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.
  • Shift pattern: 42 hours per week, 8pm‑8am on a two‑weekly rolling rota including alternative weekends.
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, working toward NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • At least two years’ experience working in a social care environment, preferably with vulnerable people over 65.
  • Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementia.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to show empathy to people under care.
