The role of a Support Worker involves providing support and assistance to individuals with complex needs, such as learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions. Main duties of the jobAs a Support Worker, you will be responsible for encouraging individuals to play an active role in their communities, supporting them with activities of daily living, effective communication, and promoting their overall quality of life. You will work closely with the team to deliver person-centered outcomes and specialized support, including positive behavioral approaches. Accurate record-keeping and reporting of changes in health or circumstances will also be part of your duties.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
Where you’ll be working:
Cranford Avenue – Weymouth; this is 2 supported living services on Cranford Avenue supporting 8 individuals with autism and complex needs to live independently within the local community.
Offering supported living, encouraging and enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and accessing the local community & facilities.
We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods.
Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
Recording – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
Team player – working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
