Bank Healthcare Assistant HCA Primary Care

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum HCA to work for a GP practice in Weymouth
. This position is suited to a proactive Healthcare Assistant who can support the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS
• Phlebotomy experience desirable
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations
• Good communication and patient interaction skills
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation
• Enhanced DBS

• Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions
• Morning and afternoon availability
• Suitable for long-term block bookings
