Traineeship Overview
This traineeship lasts up to 15 months and provides personalised training and support to remove barriers that may have prevented you from gaining meaningful employment. You will be based in our Devon Hub and play a key role in supporting and organising activities within local communities and mapping housing advice and services in Plymouth, especially temporary accommodation and homelessness.
Responsibilities- Support local campaigns and strengthen connections between the lived experience involvement group and the Hub.
- Assist in organising community activities and mapping services for temporary accommodation and homelessness.
- Help map housing advice and services in Plymouth and support the local team.
- Personal experience of homelessness, bad housing, or related disadvantages such as substance misuse and mental ill‑health.
- Commitment to equality and a zero‑tolerance approach to discrimination and exclusion.
- Good communication skills and the ability to make people feel heard.
- Basic computer skills (word processing, email, internet) are useful; support can be provided.
- A real desire to develop personally and learn new skills.
- Annual salary of £26,227 plus a £1,500 personal and professional development budget.
