Seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager with 7+ years of experience and demonstrated project management responsibility to support a federal facilities program at Picatinny Arsenal
. This role is ideal for a technically strong ME who has progressed into managing complex mechanical and facilities-related projects.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will function as a technical project lead
, providing mechanical expertise while managing scope, schedule, and contractor performance for facility and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Government’s mechanical subject matter expert and project lead
• Manage mechanical-focused projects from planning through execution and closeout
• Provide technical oversight of HVAC, plumbing, piping, utilities, and building systems
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, RFIs, schedules, and change proposals
• Conduct site walks, coordination meetings, and progress reviews
• Track project schedules, costs, and risks and provide regular status reporting
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural stakeholders as needed

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with increasing project responsibility
• Strong hands‑on experience with mechanical building systems
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors and project deliverables
• Ability to work onsite at a secure federal installation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
