Provides leadership for plant maintenance and engineering functions to ensure proper preventive maintenance, effective electrical troubleshooting, and maximum production capacity while keeping operations within budget and compliant with OSHA standards.
Responsibilities & Requirements- Operational & Safety Leadership:
Direct daily maintenance activities, support safety training programs (LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space), conduct incident investigations, and manage team shift coverage and labor efficiency. - Work Scheduling & Execution:
Review and execute daily/weekly work schedules; audit job quality; obtain blueprints and schematics; utilize CMMS to manage work orders and track actual vs. estimated labor and materials. - Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
Partner with planning teams to optimize PM inspection tasks and frequencies; utilize failure mode analysis (MTBF) to reduce breakdowns; champion Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) and Autonomous Maintenance. - Cross-Functional Coordination:
Act as the primary contact between Maintenance and Production Supervision to coordinate equipment repairs, process upgrades, and operational improvements. - Work Demands: 1st shift schedule (5:30 AM - 3:30 PM) with flexibility for alternate shifts or weekends based on production; ability to continuously stand, walk, and work in hot or cold ambient plant environments.
- Education:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required. Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification highly desired. - Experience:
4+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment with a strong mechanical and electrical background; food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred. - Technical Mastery:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; deep understanding of CMMS platforms, SQF/Food Safety standards, and TPM/Lean methodologies. - Software &
Soft Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Windows) with strong leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities.
