Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $96,000.00 Annually
Position Summary:The Warranty Administrator is responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking all warranty claims to manufacturers and vendors. This position ensures that all claims are processed accurately and in compliance with manufacturer and dealership policies. The Warranty Administrator works closely with service advisors, technicians, and accounting to ensure timely payment and proper documentation of all warranty repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Process all warranty repair orders, ensuring proper documentation and manufacturer requirements are met.
- Review and verify all repair orders for accuracy, labor operations, and parts usage.
- Submit claims to the manufacturer or warranty provider promptly and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims.
- Maintain and update warranty claim logs, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
- Communicate with service advisors, technicians, and managers regarding warranty coverage and procedures.
- Reconcile warranty receivables with accounting and assist with warranty schedule maintenance.
- Handle warranty claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals when necessary.
- Stay current on manufacturer bulletins, policies, and procedural changes.
- Ensure warranty parts are tagged, stored, and returned in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information at all times.
- Previous automotive warranty administration experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of dealership DMS systems (e.g., Dealer track, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
Office-based, within the dealership service department.
May occasionally require extended hours during peak periods or manufacturer audits.
