Mountain Phoenix Community School is accepting applications for Full‑Time Lower School/Elementary School Teachers (grades 1‑5) for the 2025‑26 School Year.
Position OverviewOur creative faculty seeks an enthusiastic teacher who collaborates with staff, parents, and community. The ideal candidate has experience teaching students in an inclusive, safe, and respectful environment and a strong interest in Public Waldorf education.
A Colorado teaching license and Waldorf teacher training or certifications are highly desired. All teachers must meet “in‑field” guidelines set forth in the Colorado ESSA plan by meeting at least one of the following requirements:
- Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license;
- Holding at least a BA or higher in the relevant subject area;
- Holding at least a BA in any content area and completing 36 semester credit hours in the subject matter taught;
- Holding at least a BA in any content area and passing a State Board approved content exam in the relevant subject area.
The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf grades teacher training and/or have experience teaching in a Waldorf school, meet ESSA teacher requirements, and seek to nurture a class for many years. (ESSA Teacher Requirements in Colorado: )
Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary with compensation for experience, advanced degrees, and ongoing professional development, including Waldorf training. All employees are hired on an at‑will basis and must meet fingerprinting and background check requirements. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and PERA (retirement). Salary Scale (2025‑2026):
