Children ; PK​/KG Float-Part Time

We are seeking a caring and passionate professional to assist in a Children’s House classroom working with 3, 4, and 5-year-olds under the direction of the Children’s House Director in a Montessori public charter school setting. This Children’s House float will play a vital role by assisting the classroom with transitions and general daily classroom activities.

• Reliable
• Understanding of Early Childhood Education and Development
• Enjoys working with 3, 4, and 5-year-olds
• Ability to take initiative
• Collaborative; works well with others
• Complete all training mandated by Colorado Department of Human Services
• Ability to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks

• Be over 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent accreditation
• Have experience working with children (highly recommended)
• Have demonstrated the ability to work effectively under the direction of others
• Have demonstrated the ability to work cooperatively with others
• Have a background in Montessori or knowledge of the Montessori philosophy
• Have good communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and converse. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to compare, analyze, communicate, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate. The employee frequently is required to copy, instruct, compute, and synthesize.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
