$38.00/hr - $59.00/hr

• Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Exhibits leadership skills, acts as a mentor and role model, works with minimal supervision, and can provide direction to the team in the coordinator/manager’s absence.
• Trains and mentors new staff and students. Acts as a lead tech when assigned.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Understands and operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required
• IV Certification within 30 days of hire
• Proficiency in at least three of the specified MR-related areas or pediatric MRI experience as 80% of patient workload
• Must complete at least five cases per specialty procedure with skills pass off by a lead MRI technologist or coordinator
• Three years of MRI experience, preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred

• Ongoing ability to see and read information, identify equipment, and operate monitors
• Frequent interaction with patients and staff; ability to communicate clearly in emergency situations
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment; extensive computer use
• Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment; navigate crowded rooms
• Ability to stand for extended periods
