Print Operator
Summary: Operating a variety of machines for the printing industry including presses rewinders die cutters and laminators. There will be cross training involved; however the fundamental basics are all the same across the machines. You will help maintain the machines and perform the cleaning duties as needed.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Take larger rolls of labels and break them down into smaller ones using the machinery.
- Master the rewind station to ensure impeccable quality and consistency on each spool.
- Continuously inspect product to ensure that finished product meets order and spec requirements.
- Work in a fast-paced collaborative environment to ensure the production process flows smoothly from start to finish.
- You will place the labels in boxes for packaging and seal them for shipment.
- Check to ensure that parts meet requirements of specs and order.
- Management of multiple variations of SKUs and products.
- Ensure all paperwork is read correctly and matches the details of the order.
- Ensure proper packaging and shipping of finished products to the customer.
- Keep machines running in a safe manner.
- Abide by all OSHA regulations and safety measures of the company.
- Be actively involved and interface with day-to-day printing department operations and be aware of department workload.
- Participate in quality improvement initiative to ensure customer satisfaction and that all jobs meet or exceed estimated times.
- Attend all meetings when requested.
- Keep an organized and clean workstation.
- Hit daily goals for jobs making sure all rush orders are completed on time.
Experience /
Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of manufacturing (printer / machine operation) experience highly preferred
- Positive attitude
- Problem solver
- Attention to detail
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Good computer skills most machines are computerized
Pay Range:$19.00/hr to $21.00/hr DOE
DAY SHIFTS - 2 Available
Shifts:
A Shift: Sunday to Every Other Wednesday
B Shift: Every Other Wednesday to Saturday
Hours of Operation:
Weekday: 12
Hr Shift from 5am to 5:30pm
Saturday: 10
Hr Shift from 5am to 3:30pm
Sunday: 10 Hr Shift from 7am to 5:30pm
(Alternating Wednesdays so one week 36 hours the next week 48 hours)
Drug screen required
Criminal Background check required
Location:Wheat Ridge near I-70 and Kipling
