Job Description:
The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Lutheran Hospital, part of Intermountain Health, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Weekend Operating Room RN to join our surgical services team. In this role, you’ll provide expert perioperative care, assist in a variety of surgical procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes

- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.
